RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW: Obsession By Ann Mayburn

obsession obsession5 Synopsis This is a STANDALONE dark(ish) erotic romance with insta-obsession between two damaged soulmates(no cheating-HEA-no cliffhanger) Hannah All my life, I've only wanted one thing: someone to love me and someone who will let me love them in return. This seems like a simple request, but I was born to parents who wished I had died of childhood leukemia, instead of my younger sister, and who have ignored me no matter how much I've tried to please them. I'm starved for affection, addicted to the feeling when someone cares about me, which has led to a love life filled with either boys I've scared off, or men all too eager to take advantage of me. I thought I would never find a man who could feed my craving for constant attention--and then I met Leo. He fills the void inside of me, haunts my dreams, and does things to me in bed that are so good, they're probably illegal. I can only pray I don't scare him off once he figures out just how needy I really am. Leo There are very few people in this world I've ever been able to form an emotional attachment to, but the moment I saw Hannah, I knew she was mine. We were bound together by fate, our paths crossing first as children, then as adults, each time marking me. She doesn't know it but I've been watching her for a year now, studying her, stacking the deck so when I do make my move, there's no way she'll ever escape me. But my world is a harsh, cruel place, and the cartel I work for demands absolute loyalty and trust...a loyalty Hannah has yet to earn in the dangerous eyes of my employers. There is only one way to ensure Hannah's absolute devotion, and I hope that she doesn't hate me forever when she finds out that not only have I brainwashed her into loving me, but that I don't feel an ounce of guilt about doing it. She's mine, only mine, and I'm keeping her forever. Warning: This story features a rough and demanding Dom who's completely devoted to bringing his baby girl pleasure through such unconventional means as spanking, mild BDSM, D/S, roleplaying, and various other forms of wicked

Now I find it funny that ive read this author before but I didnt realize this was one of her books til the end. Im oblivious at times.

This was a very intriguing novel. It starts out with Leo and he is such a very complicated and angry man. He is rather scary to say the least and works for a Cartel.

Then there is the innocent Hannah having dealt with so much in her life. She is not as sweet and innocent as  they would have you believe.

Full of sex, mystery, bloody death and mayham. Its a wonderful mix with the romantic mushy side of it.

As Ann grew older, and her hormones kicked in, she discovered bodice ripping Fabio-esque romance novels. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back. Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has accepted that her Muse has a severe case of ADD.

**Top 5 Amazon Bestseller in Mystery, Thriller & Suspense**

An Omar Zagouri Short Story: FIRST HEIST by USA Today Bestselling author H.B. Moore

Mia Golding, an undercover agent is about to make a handoff to co-agent, Omar Zagouri. But before she can complete her assignment, her cover is blown, and she finds herself escaping with Omar. The only problem is, her boss warned her about Omar and his sketchy history of landing himself in the middle of danger. After losing her mother in an attack planned for Mia, pulling off any heist with a man like Omar is the last thing she needs for her career . . . or her life.

This was a short but full of action novel. I emediately got hook because of all the constant action going on. What a lovely spy novel.

Omar oh boy just by the description he sounds like a charismatic man that any woman would absolutely drool over. He is very drawn to Mia.

Mia a very guarded im not sure operative is the right word but she does work for some goverment afiliation of sorts. She is amazing and sassy and very strong willed.

A must read for anyone that loves spy novels or a good mystery.

REVIEW: Gateway to Reality By Becca J. Campbell

Talented artists shouldn’t be waiting tables, scraping by, and living mediocre lives. But that’s exactly what art school graduate Wes Teague is doing.

Then he wakes from a bizarre dream, haunted by the sense that his life isn't real. A harrowing truth presents itself--the real world lies in his dreams, not when he's wide awake.

The dream world he enters each night is rich and vibrant. Chicago appears the same on the surface, but chaos runs rampant as gravity, physics, and other laws of nature become fluid, changing unexpectedly. There, Wes's parents, brother, and sister are strangers. His girlfriend Emily doesn’t recognize him. Wes longs to return, to unlearn the truth about his dual reality.

Wes would sacrifice almost anything to get back to blissful ignorance in a false world.

But now he has feelings for the real Emily.

I became a fan of author Becca J. Campbell when she approached me to read her Empath series which i absolutely adored.  I was intrigued and asked if i could review her other books as well. I very happily suprized by her other novels.

As I already noted, one of author Becca J. Campbell's strengths is world-building, and this talent is on full display in "Gateway to Reality". Switching between the "normal" world (or Logiverse as it is called here) and a world where "normal" does not apply (the Existence), Campbell has plenty of opportunity to explore diverse landscapes and mind-bending ideas. Wes has stumbled into a "reality" that is made up of multiple worlds built by each person's own mind; a reality where people are created - and destroyed - in the blink of an eye. While the idea of the "normal" world being just a dream is not a new concept. Campbell takes it in an original direction that is not as bleak as those movies. "Gateway to Reality" includes twists and turns aplenty as Wes tries to reconcile the two worlds he is living in, and what his relationship is to his (maybe) girlfriend Emily in both. Alternate realities are a rich plot to mine, so it's great to see so much thought and detail put into the effort.

The characters of Wes and Emily were easy to like, especially as they started getting closer in the Existence. Wes had some very nice family moments in the Logiverse with his brother Bill and his parents that showed the loving relationships he had built in his mind. But when Wes started digging deeper into the workings of the Existence and tried to discover why his mind wasn't working quite the way it should in either world, an interesting twist came to light that added new dimensions to his relationship with Emily and his "family." Pacing was light and quick, leading me to finish this story in a matter of hours, and there were some intriguing questions left unanswered in regards to links between the characters and some of the weirdness in the Existence (especially in regards to black holes). Here's hoping a follow-up to this tale is already in the works.

REVIEW: Foreign Identity By Becca J. Campbell

Cold. Confusion. Fear. This is how it all begins.

Waking up without your memory in a cell and bound by chains is terrifying.

Two nameless strangers, a man and a woman, find themselves imprisoned together. With no memories of their own identities, let alone their captor and tormentor, escape is the only option. The pair faces a bizarre labyrinth of rooms and clues that confuse more than they explain. Every discovery only brings more questions.

Who captured them? Why were they taken? What does their captor want from them? What can the riddles mean?

Who are they?

Lacking allies and options, the duo must learn to trust one another. Mazes, puzzles, and even strange, lurking creatures force them to rely on their wits--and each other--for survival. But survival isn’t enough. They need answers.

Will the answers be enough? Will the truth bring them closer together, or drive them forever apart? Will discovering their identities finally bring them home?

What a different and unique book for sure.

These two character's with no memory of themselves or eachother have to struggle and fight and figure out some puzzles and riddles to figure out who and what they are.

Full of mystery, monsters and intrique while they figure out what is going on.

A very good read for any young adult reader.

Those are his rules…. until he meets cunning financial analyst-slash-sexy club singer Lisa Embry, a woman whose heart is surrounded by more barbed wire than a high-security prison.
Rules? What rules?
One lust-filled romp with his female alter-ego turns A.J. into an addict in need of his next fix and he’ll pay any price for another hit.
But he soon finds out Lisa has her own rules… ones that can never be broken.

What a very interesting and intriguing book to say the least.

I wasn't sure at first because i really didn't see A.J. and Lisa ever actually getting together. They both fight it so much.

They are both strong personalities with their own struggle going on and somehow they end up together and its a beautiful story how they get there.

A.J. what a naughty lil playboy to say the least. He is always in trouble because of his umm extremities. hehe.

Lisa isn't much different she detaches herself with sex and thinks it keeps her safe.

But this book made me cry numerous times during reading it as it was amazing and wonderful full of heart wrenching and happy moments. And the ending omg you will not believe it until you read this book.

Lisa inched closer, swathed in an oversized fleece hoodie. Her eyes had regained their sparkle, though they held the question hanging between them, one he had yet to answer for himself: why the hell am I here right now?
Somehow, “you’re hot and I’m horny” didn’t cut it. It might have been his canned internal response, but not for her. Contrary to popular belief, he wasn’t a sex addict. Women were a means to an end… that end temporarily releasing him from the emotional burdens he carried day after day. Sex helped mask the wounds, but it never really healed him. How ironic he’d been sliced open protecting the one who made him want to feel something again. Talk about poetic justice.
“I wanted to make sure you were okay.” Pain shot up his forearm and his head throbbed. Christ, he needed those drugs to kick in fast. Everything hurt, but dammit, he wasn’t about to whine like some pansy ass.
“I’m fine. Much better than you, from the looks of it.”
“Yeah, well, I guess you could say I’ve done my civic duty.”
She smiled, exposing a row of perfectly straight, bright white teeth. They practically glowed. Or maybe that was the oxycontin finally taking effect. “I feel so privileged.”
A wave of nausea crashed over him. No, no, no… fuck, no. He squeezed his eyes shut until the feeling dissipated. An icy coldness snaked through his extremities, right down to his fingers. No longer were they itching to run through the waves cascading over her shoulders. Flexing them was futile. What the hell? The overhead light danced atop her golden hair. He squinted. It almost looked like a halo. And were those doves floating around her head? Somewhere in his increasingly foggy mind, he registered some kind of faint whistling. Was it the doves? Or was he just fucking insane? Numbness slowly crept over the stitched area and his mind grew cloudier. Christ, how much did Evan give him? No way was this a normal dose.
A warm hand grazed his arm. “Do you want me to call the doctor? You look a little, um, off.” Her brow furrowed. “How about some water?”
Four eyes stared back. Did she have a twin? Where had she come from? Mmm, that kind of threesome was right up his alley. “You two are so beautiful, you know that?”
“Who two?” She gnawed at her fingernail. “Maybe I should get someone. I don’t think—”
“No, don’t leave. Please. I feel great. I just want to keep looking at you guys, okay?” Voices echoed around him. How many more sisters did she have? And how did they all get into his room? So much for hospital security.
“Um, sure. You know we’re alone, right? Just you and me?”
“Yes, and your sisters. Stop biting your nails and hold my hand. The one that’s not sliced up.”
“Are you always this demanding?”
“I took a knife for you. So yeah, I think I earned the right.” He let out a deep sigh as their fingers entwined. Soft and warm. His eyelids were so heavy; forcing them to stay open was a near-impossible feat. “You like tattoos, huh?”
“Tattoos?” She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, a smirk lifting her lips. “I’m not so sure we’re still on the same wavelength. What kind of painkillers did they give you?”
“I don’t know, but I can’t feel my legs anymore.”
“I’m kind of surprised your mouth still works.”
“Happy to say it’s not the only thing.”
“And here I was, thinking you weren’t as big a womanizer as the tabloids claim.”
“They don’t know me.”
“Does anybody?”
“No.” He could barely even hear his own voice. It sounded so far away, like he was speaking from deep within a cave. A snicker escaped his mouth. Where did all the cotton come from? “I feel drunk and massively hung over right now.”
She leaned closer, the scent of her perfume wafting into the air. Recalling his own name was a struggle, but even with his weakened senses, he was acutely aware of her nearness. The sensation of slender fingers smoothing back his hair lulled him to sleep. Her touch was so gentle, like a soft breeze fluttering over his skin. His mind begged him to stay focused but the eyelids drooped in utter betrayal. Even her hands smelled amazing, like flowers and… jelly beans. Warm lips grazed his forehead. He squeezed her hand with the last of his rapidly depleting energy store, struggling to open his eyes one final time. A sea of smiling faces gazed back. “Promise you’ll visit tomorrow, okay? Bring all your sisters, too.”
